Gamma Xi has won many awards since our installation in 1955. These accomplishments prove the strength and determination of Those Damn Gamma Xi's.
National Awards
William Scroggs Founder's Trophy
- Since 1957, this award has been presented at each biennial convention to the most outstanding chapter in the nation.
- Awarded in 1976-1977 and 1980-1981
Top Ten Chapter Award
- Given to the ten strongest chapters as recognizing exceptional contributions to the ideals and programs of the National Fraternity.
- Awarded in 1969-1971, 1973-1975, 1975-1977, 1977-1979, 1979-1981, 1981-1983, 1985-1987 and 1987-1989
F. Lee Bowling Participation Award (NIB Award)
- Given to the College or University with the largest amount of members in the National Intercollegiate Band.
- Awarded in 1977, 1979, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987 and 1989
Chapter Leadership Award
- Plaques are awarded during each biennium to chapters meeting all report and fee deadlines as well as demonstrating excellence within the ideals of the Fraternity.
- Awarded in 1995-1997
J. Lee Burke Trophy
- This award is given to the chapter with the best National Convetion Display.
- Awarded in 1973 and 1981
Host Chapter Award
- Presented to the host chapters for each biennial National Convention.
- Awarded in 1991
Chapter Distance Award
- Awarded to the individual chapter that had the highest percentage of active members travel the greatest distance to National Convention.
- Awarded in 1977, 1981, 1983 and 1989
Chapter Participation Award
- Given to the chapter that actively has the greatest number of activities and events to support the Fraternity and band program.
- Awarded in 1981, 1983 and 1989
Northeast District (formerly District IX) Awards
Top Chapter Award
- Presented to one Top Five Chapter Award Winner whose accomplishments exceed those of the other Top Five Chapter winners.
- Awarded in 2006
Top Five Chapter Award
- Awarded to no more than five Chapters in the District based on filing of National forms, paying dues, communicating with Chapter Alumni regularly, and making submissions to both the Podium and Northeast Notes in a timely fashion.

Governor's Cup
- This award is given to the most improved Chapter in the opinion of the District Governor.

Best Chapter Display Award
- Given to the school with the best display at each annual District Convention.

- Presented to the host chapters for each annual District Convention.
